I thought I would share a quick tip I have found myself repeating several times in the past few weeks.
Caulking in your tub or inside your sink with silicone caulking.
The unpaintable kind that stops any moisture from getting through, thus it is not porous and therefore not paintable.
The only time to use this is on a tub/sink to tile/counter top, and around taps, shower heads, etc.
If you are caulking to a painted surface, ceiling, wall or trim it’s important to use the paintable silicone caulking. The concentration is lower and paint adheres well to the surface.
For 100% silicone caulking, get a small dish with dishsoap mixed with water and keep your finger wet with solution while caulking.
